Yoga Biomechanics

Back, neck, hip, shoulder, foot pain? ANY PAIN?

Join us for any or all parts of this series to learn poses to align and balance the body – using amazing corrective exercises to improve health and well-being.

Biomechanics is the study of movement. Bev will address alignment and healthy movement patterns specific to yoga poses. Benefits include: self assessment and awareness of alignment and movement patterns, healthy joint loading for bone health, joint stabilization for injury prevention and injury healing, stretches/poses to optimize blood flow and toxin removal to areas of reduced range of motion, initiation of muscles required for improved balance and fall prevention. We will also address how to use alignment and movement outside of the yoga studio incorporating into daily life for overall wellness and health benefits.

Part 1: Saturday, March 3, 3-5 pm … Learn poses to align and balance the body, focusing on the feet and knees.

Part 2: Saturday, April 14, 3-5 pm … We'll review, and then we will move up the body, focusing on alignment points, poses, and movements for hips and low back. You are not required to complete Part 1 to participate.

Part 3: Saturday, May 12, 3-5 pm … We will review Part 1 and 2 focusing on feet, knees, hips and back. Then we will move up the body, focusing on thoracic spine, shoulders, and neck. Although helpful, you are not required to complete Part 1 and 2 to participate.

Part 4: Saturday, June 9, 3-5 pm … The grand finale! We will review all alignment points, poses and movement, and put it all together for a total body new you workshop! Although helpful, you are not required to complete Parts 1-3 to participate.

$40 early registration a week before each workshop,
$45 thereafter
$150 if signing up for the whole series at once.

Beyond Asana Book Study

Join us the first Thurday of each month from noon until 1:30 PM for a yoga philosophy book study and discussion.

More in-depth study of yoga philosophy helps us integrate and incorporate the wonderful teachings of yoga throughout our lives.

Sacred Women's Circle

We circle to share our stories. Wisdom is shared, insights are gained and shift occurs when we show up for one another to listen without agenda. This powerful time of connectivity serves to stir our creative forces and enliven the deepest parts of ourselves while enriching our communities.

Love Offering

Kristie Picklesimer is a facilitator committed to creating spaces ripe for breakthrough and is passionate in helping others to find their own rhythm through expression. Kristie works as a patient advocate for a midwifery practice and has studied with renowned elders on topics such as women's mysteries, herbalism, self care and holding sacred space.

Authentic Intuitive Movement

We are thrilled to announce that AiM will return in 2018 with a new look and time. Starting in January, you can join Shawna and Kristie once a month for a Friday night dance party!!

Freestyle dancing is one of the best ways to let go and loosen up. Studies continue to show that non-choreographed dancing has tremendous effects on mental and physical health, including the self-consciousness we can feel around dancing and pushing through that fear which can lead to greater self-esteem, cognitive boosts and creative expansion.

Each month we'll carefully curate a diverse playlist of music with live instruments mixed in and can’t wait to boogie down with y'all!

Fridays, March 2, April 6, May 4, June 1
and the 1st Friday of every month!

7:00 to 9:00 pm

Individual $10 • Family $15
Nobody turned away for lack of funds!

All ages of dancers are welcome
